Using Public Data Like Stats NZ in Your Business Dashboards

Stats NZ and other agencies publish rich, well-documented data. CPI, FPI, enterprise surveys, injury statistics, and migration flows are all available as CSV or via APIs. Pulling a handful of these series into your own dashboards can put internal metrics in context.

A simple pattern is: pick 3–5 external series that genuinely matter to your organisation, script a monthly CSV refresh, and wire them into your BI tool. You do not need real-time streaming pipelines to get value.
